Morné Jacobs has been appointed the new-build director at Countrywide Surveying Services (CSS).
Jacobs joins CSS from Lloyds Banking Group (LBG), where he worked for 24 years in various roles. For the last eight-and-a-half years, he was the national housing development manager at LBG, focusing on the new-build sector and working closely with stakeholders such as national housebuilders and brokers.
At CSS, Jacobs will be responsible for promoting and improving the firm’s new-build proposition across the UK, with a focus on supporting net zero goals.
He will also advocate for a range of construction methods, including modern and affordable housing.
Jacobs will also be tasked with building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders including mortgage lenders and housebuilders, with a view to deliver a comprehensive and integrated new-build proposition.
He will report to Jayne Coppinger, director of client relationships at CSS.
Matthew Cumber, managing director of CSS, said: “Morné’s expertise spans project and strategic management within the new-build and mortgage sectors. He is widely recognised for his strong leadership abilities, business development acumen, and coaching skills. These qualities have contributed to his success in fostering strong relationships and driving growth over his many years in the industry.
“We look forward to the impact his leadership will bring to our continued success in the new-build sector.”
Jacobs (pictured) added: “This is an incredibly exciting opportunity to become an ambassador for the group and its market-leading new-build valuations proposition. It represents an important step in my career, and I can’t wait to start building on the great market expertise and brand recognition CSS has established.”
Last week, CSS appointed Matthew Ison and Andrew Peters as associate directors for technical services.
