Target Group appoints Hill as chief information officer

Fintech firm Target Group has strengthened its senior team with the appointment of Scott Hill as its chief information officer (CIO).

He has more than 25 years of experience in the IT sector, including implementing global strategies, business change initiatives and multimillion-pound digital transformation projects for both national and international brands.

Hill has worked across many sectors including financial services, utilities, education, consumer and retail brands.

He began his IT career through the graduate programme at IBM, then went on to work for Accenture for seven years, where he delivered key projects for clients in the UK and Europe.

Hill then joined Circle to establish a consulting company, before joining The White Company to develop its e-commerce capabilities, contact centre services and integration platform.

During his career, Hill has led global project delivery and implementation for brands including Boden, Dyson and Versace.

He has also completed contract work with Currys and Kaplan International and recently had a contract as the global head of website transformation for Diageo.

In his role at Target, Hill will support new and existing clients with their digital transformation, oversee its IT strategy and ensure the company can meet the demands of customers.

Hill (pictured) said: “Target presents a tremendous opportunity to join a company built on innovative technology and fantastic talent. I’m excited to be helping deliver the change that will enable Target to achieve its clear ambitions and provide an even greater service to its broad range of clients. Not only is my experience well-suited to Target and its client base, but in the stewardship of Target’s relationship with its tremendous parent company Tech Mahindra.

“As Target continues to scale, I’m looking forward to working with the senior team and talented colleagues across Target to not just deliver for clients, but exceed expectations. We want to bring them a roadmap of innovations and part of my remit will be putting the strategies, technology and resources in place to do just that. Alongside delighting clients, our aim is to attract new business and excite our colleagues, recognising their talents and their hard work in driving our proposition and the wider business forward.”

Peter O’Connor, CEO of Target Group, added: “When you consider Scott’s expertise and impressive experience, he is a fantastic addition to the team at Target. His extensive background in technology and complex digital transformation within respected global brands will be hugely valuable given our own client base and a broad range of services.

“The addition of Scott is another strategic appointment that strengthens our senior team and is a real statement of intent as we continue to drive the business forward and execute our ambitious growth plans.”

Last year, Target Group made two appointments to its senior team, hiring Rob Milloy as its growth director and Uday Bola as head of solution design.
