UEFA CL qualifiers, Major League Soccer, Brazilian Série A, European friendlies.

This week’s fixtures offer plenty of interesting events. You’ll discover European qualifiers, South American clashes, Asian friendlies, and, of course, the MLS

European action begins with Brann taking on Salzburg for a shot at Champions League qualification. In South America and the U.S., top-flight league matches continue to shape the season.

Meanwhile, Arsenal’s Asia tour includes friendlies with Milan and Newcastle. Vissel Kobe will also play against Barcelona, who are back in action.

Club competitions from Belgium to Brazil are also worth considering. So, make sure to check out the matches below.

Brann vs Red Bull Salzburg (23-07-25 18:00 GMT +1) – Brann host Salzburg in the Champions League 2nd‑round qualifiers. Despite their below-par performance at the Club World Cup, Salzburg are slight favourites to overcome the Norwegian side.

However, Brann’s home form could challenge them. At Brann Stadion, the home team have last beaten Viking 3-1.

Fluminense vs Palmeiras (23-07-25 23:00 GMT +1) – Fluminense and Palmeiras meet in a crucial Série A clash at the Maracanã. Fluminense lost their last two league games and are looking to bounce back.

Palmeiras, meanwhile, travel with better form, having won three, drawn one, and lost one of their previous five matches across competitions. We anticipate a tight midfield battle with a cautious tempo.

Red Bull Bragantino vs Flamengo (24-07-25 01:30 GMT+1) – Bragantino’s pressing intensity will host Flamengo’s tactical experience.

Bragantino start strongly under coach Thiago, but Flamengo have won key fixtures recently and rely on a structured defence. With each side operating at high tempo and quality in attack, this could be an interesting encounter.

Botafogo vs Corinthians (26-07-25 22:30 GMT +1) – Botafogo look to build home form, facing a Corinthians side unbeaten away in recent games. The hosts offer an attacking display but have been inconsistent in converting chances.

Corinthians are organised and disciplined. Midfield control will be key, with each coach likely to tweak formations at halftime. Set-pieces could prove decisive in what might be a close battle.

Flamengo vs Atlético Mineiro (28-07-25 00:30 GMT +1) – Flamengo and Atlético Mineiro will fight it out in another high-profile Brazilian Série A encounter. Expect fast transitions and tight marking in the centre. A single moment of quality or lapse in concentration may swing the result, possibly in the latter stages.

Arsenal vs Milan (23-07-25 12:30 GMT +1) – Arsenal kick off their Asia tour against Milan in Singapore. Milan, under the new head coach Massimiliano Allegri, will need a recovery after last season and especially following Theo Hernandez’s departure.

It’s a chance for the Gunners fans to see new signings like Martin Zubimendi and Christian Norgaard in action. Both teams will rotate heavily in this preseason test.

Vissel Kobe vs Barcelona (27-07-25 11:00 GMT +1) – This friendly in Kobe will kick off Barcelona’s Asian tour against Andres Iniesta’s former club. Barça will rotate but control possession; Kobe will press physically. We also anticipate the new goalkeeper, Joan Garcia, featuring. Tactical shape, especially from Barcelona, is key.

Arsenal vs Newcastle (27-07-25 12:30 GMT +1) – Second pre-season game for Arsenal in Singapore. Though friendly, it’s a tactical duel: Mikel Arteta vs Eddie Howe

Both squads are good at pressing and have extraordinary players in midfield. Despite the game’s status, we think it’ll be a traditional Premier League-style event with ultra pressing and attack.

Royal Antwerp FC vs Royale Union Saint-Gilloise (25-07-25 19:45 GMT +1) – In a Belgian Pro League opener, Royal Antwerp will face Union Saint-Gilloise. Antwerp push early tempo at home. Union SG bring a disciplined away strategy. Both clubs should focus on possession. We anticipate set-piece battles and early rhythm importance. A single mistake could be costly.

Anderlecht vs Westerlo (27-07-25 12:30 GMT +1) – This is another Belgian opener. Anderlecht are favourites to win the competition, but it won’t be easy amid the ongoing competition.

Westerlo play on the counter with pace. It will likely be a tough clash, turning on fast breaks or midfield turnovers. Goals may come after 60 minutes once teams settle.

Brugge vs Genk (27-07-25 17:30 GMT +1) – Brugge welcome Genk in a tactical test. Genk favour pressing transitions, and Brugge will need early dominance. Based on the H2H stats, victories and defeats alternate, so we think it will be a close battle. Set pieces and squad depth may matter, as fitness levels kick in later.

San Diego FC vs Nashville (26-07-25 03:30 GMT +1) – San Diego, known for high-scoring, fast play, and vibrant atmosphere, are leading the table.

Nashville are effective in the midfield, but competing against SD will be difficult. The match could be open. Expect early intensity, pressing duels, and possible late-game drama. A lively crowd and goals are probable.

Inter Miami vs Cincinnati (27-07-25 00:15 GMT +1) – Lionel Messi & Luis Suárez lead the home squad with a dominant win against the New York Red Bulls. Miami have key injuries in midfield.

Cincinnati have historically been tough for Messi. This is the only team he hasn’t scored against. However, given his superior form, the Argentinian player will probably be a major threat to the opponents.

Philadelphia Union vs Colorado Rapids (27-07-25 00:30 GMT +1) – Philadelphia Union are in solid form, defensively tight and efficient in transitions. Rapids have improved defence but lack consistent goals. It should be a structured, low-scoring affair with a mild tempo.

Vancouver Whitecaps vs Sporting Kansas City (27-07-25 03:30 GMT +1) – In the Canadian-hosted MLS game, Vancouver Whitecaps will take on Sporting Kansas City. The side from Vancouver move forward quickly, while SKC focus on possession.

Midfield turnovers and counter-attacks will shape the game. It could be open play early, but control may sharpen mid-second half. Fitness and bench impact will also be pivotal as the game progresses.
